Jr. Engineering: Solar & Green Machines
Students will build machines powered by the sun and the wind! Discover how to use wind, solar, water and hand-crank electricity. Since the beginning of civilization humans have looked for sources of energy. Now it�s your turn to engineer alternative energy machines and explore renewable energy sources. Students working in teams will use solar panels, capacitors, motors, rechargeable batteries and more to explore engineering and science concepts. Students watch their machines come to life as the miniature solar panels and electric generators gather the energy to power them. Possible projects are: 3 foot windmills, dragsters, cars, helicopter or bulldozer, all powered by alternative energy!
