Explore the principles of Earthquake & Structural Civil Engineering in this fun and exciting seismic class. Use an electronic earthquake simulator (shake table) to investigate and learn about the effects of earthquakes on steel and concrete buildings. Student will design and build towers and structures from Knexs, Legos and Wood, and see the amazing effects of vibrations and movement have on their structures, and then test their structures to destruction. We also work with the Knex bridge building systems. Then test the bridges to their breaking point, using our bridge tester. Please bring a snack daily.
