Girls & Engineering
Our class is designed to encourage girls to get excited about engineering & technology. This girls only class let girls explore the world of engineering, math and science. Student pairs will be working with Knex, and Legos to build replicas of real-world machines, while learning about the mechanical concepts behind each one. Girls will explore engineering through fun interactive team projects which shows how engineering is related to their everyday life. Investigate and experiment with up to 12 models designed to demonstrate the science and technology concepts of pulleys, levers, gears, energy, and wheels.
