Mario Kart-style: Racing Game Coding
Design a track and get ready to race! Students will use Construct 3, a visual game development platform, to create a top-down kart racing game. After getting a kart moving on the first day, they’ll add tracks, drifting, speed boosts, item boxes, lap counters, and computer-controlled racers. A speed boost, a tight turn, and a rival kart give campers plenty of racing action to shape. Campers will test how the game handles and adjust the challenge. Guided projects leave room to customize tracks and try ideas of their own. Bring a snack and drink each day, plus a USB drive on the last day to save your projects.
